CNET is the first review I have found of the WiFi-only Nook.Nook

A short summary of the review is that it is the best eReader available for under $150.  In other words, it is better than the

Kobo (pictured) kobo

or the Sony Pocket edition, pictured below.

Pocket

This is no surprise since both the Kobo and Sony devices have only 8-grayscale  shades, whereas the Kindle, Nook and other Sony editions have 16.

Also, the Sony Pocket Edition lists for $169. but you may be able to buy it for around $150 from some vendors.

Back to the Nook: the speed of paging has been improved, but the reviewer still complains of slowness, and the batter life is ok, but not so ok when you use the color screen with any frequency.
